Fremont, Journey of Faith

Joe Shreffler

Pastor Joe Shreffler has been a part of the Journey of Faith family since 1989, and is currently serving as pastor for the second time. His current term as pastor began in 2005, when he and his wife, Margie, returned to Fremont to live. They have three sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandsons, all part of Journey of Faith.

Pastor Joe is a lifelong Nazarene and son of a pastor. Educated in Oklahoma and ordained as an Preaching Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1995, he serves the congregation as its Senior Pastor.

Rosa Palma

Pastor Rosa Palma joined the Journey of Faith staff in 2008 as the Associate Pastor for Spanish Language Ministries. She serves as the lead minister for Camino de Fe.

Pastor Rosa came to Fremont as part of a Spanish Language church plant, working as a layperson. When the congregation was without a pastor, she was challenged to consider whether God was calling her to that role. God gave her a dream for that ministry, which is now fully integrated into Journey of Faith. She was educated through the Church of the Nazarene Course of Study and will be ordained as a Preaching Elder in May, 2010.

Robbie Shreffler

Pastor Robbie Shreffler is the newest ministerial staff member at Journey of Faith. Originally hired by the church as a lay Office Manager, he expressed a call to ministry in the fall of 2008 and was licensed by the local church. He serves as the Missional/Youth Pastor and is the Executive Director of Generous Life Compassionate Ministries, our "face to the community".

Pastor Robbie received his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Milligan College in Johnson City, TN. He and his wife, Ashley, moved to Fremont after completing college. Pastor Robbie is Pastor Joe's middle son.

Raylene Loomer

Raylene Loomer is Journey of Faith?s Sunday School Ministries Chairperson and leads the local ministries to children. A long time resident of Fremont with her husband, Don, and their daughter, Kayla, Raylene has been part of the Journey of Faith family since the 1990s.

Raylene is a primary ?generator of ideas? for ministry, according to Pastor Joe. She has led the church?s successful annual efforts in Talent Shows shared with the community and our participation in the annual Niles Community Parade of Lights during the Christmas season.

Ron Bellomy

Ron Bellomy is President of Journey of Faith's mission?s ministry under the Nazarene Missions International umbrella. Ron, his wife, Diane, and their son, Logan, have lived in Fremont about 10 years and Ron has been part of the Journey of Faith family since 2007, and assumed the NMI leadership in 2009.

Ron's passion for mission?s ministry flows from the Work & Witness concept. His father, Rusty Bellomy, was a fixture in Nazarene W&W ministries in Kentucky for many years. Ron is the founder of the local group, (To Be Determined), which is our team working in the area of Work & Witness. This ministry is beginning their work by taking a team to participate in the One Heart, Many Hands, a working missions effort in Orlando, FL, during the Church of the Nazarene General Assembly and Conventions in late June of 2009.

Rudy Lopez

Rudy Lopez is President of Journey of Faith?s Nazarene Youth International chapter, ministering to youth and young adults. Rudy came to Journey of Faith in 2008 with the addition of the Camino de Fe ministry.

Rudy works with Pastor Robbie in coordinating youth ministries between the English and Spanish congregations of Journey of Faith. Additionally, Rudy leads the music worship ministry team for Camino de Fe. Rudy is a locally licensed minister, studying to become a pastor in the future.
